The US Stove US1100E-L is a beautiful air tight plate steel wood burning stove with black wood handle door in a black finish. The US1100E-L stove comes with elegant legs base and can heat up to 1,200 sq. ft. with 68,000 BTUs.? A smooth arch door with air washed ceramic glass allows a magnificent view of the burning fire that will enhance any hearth setting. How it works: the primary air inlet at the front of the stove ignites the wood upon start up. Once burning, the secondary air inlet at the rear of the firebox feeds air to the top of the stove through three (3) ignition tubes directly above the wood. The result is that you have ignition, or fire, at the bottom and at the top of the wood stove which, in effect, consumes the wood. This is a very efficient method of getting the most energy possible out of the wood that you are burning. This stove meets the stringent requirements of the EPA certification guidelines.? The US1100E-L replaces the previous Defender wood stove.

I bought this stove 2 years ago and it heats throughout my entire home (1,240 sqft). Ash drawer doesn’t catch anything and I also had to modify the bottom choke. Well worth the money. Just know logs will need to be cut short due to smaller door. All in all I enjoy the stove and would buy again if need be.
Good Stove
I like this little stove. I would give it a 5 star review, but I don’t really think the lower damper does anything. That would be nice to be able to adjust the flame a little more. I also never (ever) get any ash in the lower drawer. Mine could be unique, but I also have two of these in different units and it’s the same with both. Maybe I missed something, but they both still work well, so I haven’t really worried about it. I just scoop out the ashes when I need to, every couple days. Overall, this is an excellent little stove, works well to keep our units warm (about 1000sq ft).
